Kelly King Anderson is a trustee of One Heart Bulgaria and served on the Board for two years. Kelly King AndersonDuring that time, she made significant contributions by networking to promote the organization and fundraising. Kelly’s ultimate contribution and undertaking was when she supervised, organizing, and shipped a humanitarian container in 2004. The container of medical and hygiene supplies, clothing, bedding, and educational supplies was distributed to orphanages in Sofia and Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Kelly also produced Courage to Shine, a benefit CD for fundraising purposes in the organization. She is the Utah County contact for One Heart Bulgaria speaking engagements. Kelly spoke to over 30,000 youth and adults about serving Bulgaria’s orphans at Brigham Young University’s 2004 Youth Conference.
Kelly is also founder of Startup Princess, an international organization dedicated to serving women entrepreneurs. She has a Master’s degree in Theatre for Young Audiences and has presented internationally on her research on the educational benefits of pretend play among preschool aged children. Previously Kelly worked as a freelance Publicist and Account Coordinator for an advertising agency. While working as a Publicist she secured a feature for her client on The TodayShow as well as many other local and national sports and news programs. She lived in Bulgaria 1994-1995 as a volunteer and served orphans at that time, that experience remains with her and continues to inspire her to support One Heart Bulgaria.
Kelly comments: “Because of my involvement with this organization, I am continually reminded of the Bulgarian orphans’ desperate circumstances and it compels me to make a difference in their lives. I am also filled with an increase of compassion and love for others because of One Heart Bulgaria.”
