Pleven Orphanage

Location: Pleven

Number of children: 67 with disabilities  

Ages: 6-18 yrs., with some in their twenties (all with special needs)  

Needs: medicines, diapers, special foods, medical supplies and nurses

How we help: Over the last 8 years OHB sponsors have helped provide two nurses to help dozens of the most severely disabled children. Some of these children are bedridden and need to be moved and rotated many times a day to prevent pressure sores and muscle contractures. They also help these children get out of bed and move as much as possible. Many of these children would not be mobile at all, if it weren’t for our nurses’ help. In addition to medical attention, the nurses are a sweet source of love for the children. 

Sponsorships: $60/month for medicines; $200/month for one part-time nurse; $170/month for orphanage sponsorship to provide for the basic needs of the children, plus medical. If interested in providing support for these children, please contact Deborah @ 435-764-3093 (text messages also accepted).
